Original Poem by Amarachi Ogbonnaya

Basking in my foolishness,

Her eyes still stare in magnitude of disdain,

With wit and grit, the alchemy still fails,

My silver shines in her eyes,

Most loving but folly,

Her merchandised love echoes,

My eyes shut to the warp of love.

From afar, the sun shone brightly on her,

I never prognosticate, I dived in,

The saintly sin I never foretell,

Stormed my world with sorrow’s wind and rain.

Here I lay, listing the sad-tuned tale.

Vulgar scandal stamped on my face,

In profound abysm, I threw all my love.
