Original Poem by Amarachi Ogbonnaya
They say the world is a sham and life a lease
Of nightmare nothing nicknamed time
People discovered afar
Are now voyagers in an undiscovered land
Where life is feign, mirage.
Although all is vain and vanity is all,
At conjured coast, beacons rise and fall,
They sail away,
To the land of the unknown.
Still life owns something more
When body owns more than residue of lives
Time becomes the noisiest sound you hear
Tickling so fast like its blown by the wind
Memory becomes the utmost question
It goes further than life.
