Original Poem by Amarachi Ogbonnaya

Silence but I hear the noisy whisper,

Since the day you left my love to linger,

With your beauty, my soul lost its way,

It chased after you but that was its doom.

Darkness lurked near, the storm loomed,

We danced beautifully to the sound of my funeral,

You said yes, that was the best day of my life,

I was foolish, now I pay the price.

Look at me my beloved Linda as I lay dying,

Your lips always glow in beautiful lies,

You took my soul with your beautiful stares,

Now I am the sore you wish not to behold.

With my last breath, I write to you, my beloved,

You are like a beautiful venomous flower,

Do not despair while I am gone, my beloved,

You share despair like candy to the unfortunate,

You are the python that stings the soul of men.
